I use this on my chair when I eat. I love that it snaps and holds tight when I'm trying to keep my dog away from my sandwich or whatever I have. I just save it when I'm done and put it aside until next time. The image shown corresponds exactly to the dimensions given. It costs money but I didn't think about that when I got the chair. I'm glad I didn't buy any of the floor to chair tables as I think it would be bulkier and take up more space. It's simple, cheap and just what I needed.

Really wish they would work as I don't have room for tables next to my lounge chair. They work so well they prevent the glass of water from being bumped when you are using the chair which is great. However - and it's probably unrealistic to think there's a good fix here - if you hit it hard at all, the entire tray will collapse. Problems with this product. Not suitable for every sofa armrest. One arm was small for him and very unstable. I removed the screws and moved the clamps closer together, which was very difficult due to the spring loaded clamps. The second was a bit cramped, but worked best until after a month or two, the screws loosened themselves and the table flew across the room, scattering everything that was on it. I bought this after my son was born so I could have a place to put his bottle and pacifier without waking him up by reaching for the coffee table. The first one I ordered lasted 2.5 years before the spring failed which was probably my fault for clicking too often. We use them every night in front of the TV so I ordered two more, one to replace another company's slightly cheaper plastic version that after a year has become scratched and ugly.
