Keeps Dogs Safe Good for training and behavioral support

The leading cause of death or injury to dogs in moving vehicles is the windshield being smashed or broken in an accident. Also, unbound dogs distracted their owners, who then had a problem. These straps keep them where they belong — not in the front seats, watching over grilled chicken in your grocery bag, and chasing a squirrel when you step out of the car.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Great Price

Exactly what I wanted

I feel so much better and we can take the dogs in the car. It's long enough for my large dog to roll over easily, but I can adjust it to a smaller size so my medium sized dog can roll over in the back seat too. But it also limits them when we get into an accident. The spirit part alone costs money, but the product seems very strong and durable. So for me it was a good buy.

Best type of shackles

I really like these shackles. They work really well and my energetic 13 lb Cavapoo calmed down immediately as soon as I buckled him up. They are adjustable so I lengthened them just enough for her to lie down but not jump off the seat or out the window. The top didn't extend far enough to go around the base of the headrest, but that's okay. I only attached it to one of the headrest supports, not both. It worked fine. Overall, my pup was very relaxed with this restraint and enjoyed the ride.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

So disappointed and shocked. Someone just rolled in front of me, I was driving 15-20 mph and I had to brake hard until I came to a complete stop. The plastic bracket broke and my poor dog was thrown against the seat and got stuck between the seats. She can't tell me how much it hurts, she does. I keep the length at a good length so it can stand out and not front. She's a 70 pound brute. I hope she is doing well. 😖

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Keep puppies in the car

This product is so simple and yet so useful! We have two puppies who aren't really into cars yet and I was looking for something to keep them from jumping in the car when there was no one to hold them in the back seat. I used one of their back door drawers but it was a pain and neither of them liked that method. So they still have some freedom and can also see what's going on. The fact that I can take one or both of them somewhere by myself makes things a lot easier now. Good price!

Works best with dogs

Received quickly. I have two very large dogs. I let them ride in my car with the windows down for years. I've learned to trust them. Suddenly one of them jumped out. I had to stop and pick her up. Thank god she wasn't hurt, but it scared me a lot. After that I left the windows in. Really ruined our car trips. I bought them because of this incident. They work great. I just hooked it to the headrest, adjusted the length and attached it to the seat belts. They are cool. They gave us back our open…

No more tethered dogs in the car - hooray!.

This is an amazing product! I've been making my own canvas headrest mounts for a number of years. We have a dog who manages to "tie" himself with the harness. This means he arrived at his destination with all four legs tied together, or worse, tied himself to a second dog (I have no idea how he would have managed that, but he did it) - sometimes so tightly that I they couldn't detach each other so you would have to unbuckle your seat belt to turn her and him. I'm so happy !PS And 'dog second'…

Cavalier and Hound Pup

I have two very different dogs; cavalier king charles spaniel and rescued mixed breed beagle terrier puppy. Cavalier has traveled extensively, is quiet and happy to be with me and my family. A beagle puppy, a terrier - a classic elephant in a china shop. The pup, although usually a car driver, enjoys tinkering with the Cavalier in the back seat. What we called a dog kick. These restrictions were the only restrictions I found that allowed me to isolate the 'kids' from each other while still…

Yes. Brilliant. to Repellents

I train and work with service dogs - large breed service dogs - as part of my work with students with disabilities. I also work with large breed dog rescuers. This means that I often drive dogs. This works great if you take the time to customize it for each dog. This allows them to move freely, change positions and move from a seated to a lying position while maintaining safety in the seat. slipping off the seat can pull on the collar and potentially injure the dog, but this advice applies to…
