I am an avid backgammon player. The quality of the board is five stars. I gave a four-star review because the wooden chips or extremely lightweight. The dice are also way too big. I have to use dice from another set. When you roll if you hit any of the chips they actually slide and can easily move off their position. Heavier chips and I would give 5 out of 5

I’m confused by all the glowing reviews of the beautiful "wood” used. The reason this set is so light is because it’s NOT REAL WOOD. The checkers are wood, but that’s all. The playing surface looks to be a printed vinyl/pvc material. Tap on the case and it sounds hollow. It is NOT worth $60! It’s embarrassing because I bought this as a gift and had it shipped directly to the recipient - thinking I was sending a nice classy gift - only to find out later that it’s plastic. Coming from Egyptian background we are used to much bigger pieces than this, the included pieces are 1 inch in diameter and could hardly stack them vertically ( sets of 5's)Build quality and look is good though so if you are ok with small pieces and big dice go for it

I had an initial problem with the set. One missing piece and one damaged piece. I contacted them and they made it right. Once contact was made with them, they were very responsive. Replacement pieces were sent along with some extras. Seems like a good company and the product is well made.

OMG! Received this backgammon set today and I have to say this is gorgeous. I love the that there’s no bracket/attachments for opening and locking it. It is so well made I can’t wait to give this as a Christmas gift to a family member.I rarely rate items, but this one is way better than expected. I absolutely recommend this for anyone considering spending a few extra dollars, you’ll be glad you did.Cheryl

I was shopping around for a tavla board but decided to get this set because it included 2 sets of dice, 2 dice cups, and a doubling cube. I like the look of the darker board. I'm especially impressed by the look and textured exterior of the board when closed. It's my favorite, so far, of all the backgammon sets I own!

This wooden backgammon game board is gorgeous! The wooden pieces look and feel nice and the dice look like marble. The instructions were kind of hard for us to understand though so we ended up having to watch a how to play video on YouTube. Overall we had fun playing this game and it is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes!

Everything is high quality made only downside is the places where you store the peices after use dont have enough room to store the last peice of each players peices so you have to store them outside of it

Let me just say I did not expect much for the priceThe board is nice I enjoy it and the travel size is a bonus May take up too much space for storage.
