Great family game for my opinion

Glad to have adult assistance for 5 year old - until we all understood the instructions and rules. Had lots of fun with this cooperative team game.

Pros
  • Appeals to a wide range of ages
Cons
  • May not provide enough challenge or stimulation for children who exceed the age range

Family fun best in my review

Our kids love to play this game! And I love that it’s a team win and not an individual win. Our kids are competitive and this game promotes problem solving as a group. It’s challenging enough without being too hard, good 20 min family game that creates unity. Our four year old likes to role the dice and be apart of it but doesn’t grasp it fully like the older kids.

Pros
  • Playing time: 20 -30 minutes
Cons
  • Strategizing and problem-solving skills may not be as challenging as other games in this genre

Engaging Fun Board Game for Child

Quality game board and accessories. Easy to play through in 15 minutes, and kept everyone’s attention. Clever game with replay ability.

Pros
  • Replayability ensures continued enjoyment
Cons
  • Not suitable for children who are easily frustrated or discouraged

Excellent Young Kids Game!

I am very pleased with the quality and gameplay. Easy enough that my 5 year old has no trouble following and making gameplay decisions. Also, not mind numbingly boring for adults as some kids games are. I actually enjoyed sitting down with the kiddos on this one. Basically a "whodunnit” by process of elimination, with decisions to be made each turn. I highly recommend this game. This is one of the best in my young kids collection.

Pros
  • 5 - 15 years
Cons
  • Requires a certain level of reading comprehension to understand the clues and suspects

Great game for kids that don't like to lose

I am an avid board game player and want to encourage my kids to love board games as well. My 5 and 7-year-old love this game! They play together and even solo, but it is also fun to play for the whole family. It reminds me of a variation of guess who. My 7-year-old doesn't often doesn't enjoy playing board games because they do not like to lose, but since this is a co-op game, it has made a huge difference in their interest to play more board games! My 7 yr old can explain how to play this game

Pros
  • this is a great ciooperative game. Our four year old does really well with it and we enjoy it too :)
Cons
  • May be too simplistic for advanced readers and problem-solvers

My family loved this game!

We bought this for our daughters 6th birthday and everyone had fun entertaining her with this game. It’s simple and engaging for our children even up to our 14 year old. This truly made my daughter have a happy 6th birthday. I would recommend this product.

Pros
  • Provides hours of fun for the whole family
Cons
  • Could lead to competitive attitudes among players despite being a cooperative game

Easy and fun for my opinion

We sat down and played this game for the first time this evening and it really was a blast. Setup takes a few minutes and you can jump right into playing. With four people playing we solved the mystery in 25 minutes or so, including setup time and going over the instructions. The concept of the game is similar to clue in a way, though it feels completely different. We groaned as a family as the Fox creeped closer to the end, and cheered together when we finally eliminated the last…

Pros
  • Provides an opportunity for bonding between parent and child
Cons
  • Not suitable for children who do not enjoy problem-solving or deduction games

Tons of fun in my review

We loved it. My daughter is five and very competitive she’s definitely a sore sport sometimes. it was nice finding a game where it was a cooperative game play and not teams against teams. Just us vs the fox. Is it a simple game? Yes, but what do you expect out of a game 5+? Everything was sturdy, colorful and fun.Honestly. I’d play this over and over again. It was a game my daughter picked up quickly and felt confident playing after the first round. I didn’t have to play for her or walk her…

Pros
  • Fantastic! I rarely write reviews but this game was a winner with our 5 year old and his Grandma!
Cons
  • Takes longer to set up than some other children's games

Kids love the game good for me

My kids 5 and 3 love this game. It took 2 games for they to fully understand the rules and they love it 😊. They set up the game by themselves and play. Very good 👍

Pros
  • Both my 4 and 6 year old love this game. It’s fun for us to play with them too. Highly recommend!
Cons
  • Cards are small and may be easily lost or damaged

Excellent cooperative game for a six year old

We were desperately looking for games to play as a family while we have been staying at home during the pandemic. Emotions are running a bit high and competitive games are sometimes ending in tears. Unfortunately, a lot of cooperative games are not challenging enough to entertain kids older than pre-school age. This game turned out to be a big win for us. There is definitely some luck but it requires some basic deductive reasoning to beat the fox.In this game, all players are competing against…

Pros
  • August 19, 2018
Cons
  • Does not have a strong educational element for learning or practicing new skills

Lots of fun! - my new review

This game is easy to learn for young children. Teaches them how to use the clues to puzzle out who the thief is. What I like best is the players work together to beat the game. They’re not competing against each other so it’s also teaching teamwork and communication.

Pros
  • Easy to play. The kids love it.
Cons
  • Gameplay can become monotonous after multiple rounds

Got us through the deep freeze!

I got this for my son's 6th birthday, and we've had the game for about a month. We've played this game at least once every single day since then. In particular, I'm one of those hapless Texans who lost their electricity for almost 3 days during the deep freeze of 2021. We

Pros
  • Not the best quality
Cons
  • No expansion packs or additional mysteries available

Box was already on my review.

The box was already opened when it arrived. It was not wrapped in plastic and the pieces were everywhere so that the lid didn’t fit properly. I had to take everything out and put it back together.

Pros
  • Offers a great alternative to screen time
Cons
  • May not be as exciting or engaging for children who prefer action-oriented games

5 YO loved it - my new review

Bought this for my friend’s daughter’s 5th bday. She loves it and plays all the time. It’s pretty fun for the adults too. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Reinforces positive behavior and decision-making
Cons
  • May become repetitive for children who play it frequently

5 year old loves it!

My son got this recently for his 5th birthday. He loves it so much, he's wanted to play it constantly! Sort of like Clue for kids. I enjoy playing it with him, too :)

Pros
  • Encourages teamwork and collaboration
Cons
  • Not a good choice for children with short attention spans

My 3 year old loves it!

Great game with tons of replay value. The story based element makes it easy to involve kids younger than 5 (the recommended minimum age). Our 3 year old loves playing and can now teach others how to play.

Pros
  • Games & Accessories
Cons
  • May require adult supervision to prevent cheating or rule-breaking

Don't be intimidated by the rules at first blush

Bought the game for my 5-year-old daughter and my 7-year-old niece. On first blush the instructions may seem intimidating, but do not be fooled by all the pieces and parts that come with the games. In the end it's simple. you look for clues each turn or you turn over suspects. The games is great for little ones since it's cooperative and it's all players against the fox. It's an inclusive game that is easy to pick up, good for both young and old, and possessed of a charming aesthetic.I'd…

Pros
  • Provides a positive and cooperative gaming experience
Cons
  • Limited character development of suspects and detective may not engage some children

Guess Clue? good for me

So going to go over the different parts of this game and an overall review, but going to say that this little game is one of the best games to introduce gaming to a young child!Game overview:The game is cooperative deduction game, and uses a combination of clues with suspects who either have or do not have one of the objects in the clue. On your turn you decide if you are looking for suspects or clues, then you roll some custom dice three times trying to get all of the feet or eye symbols, if…

Pros
  • A cooperative whodunit game
Cons
  • Not suitable for larger groups of players, as it is designed for two to four players

played over and over with my 5 year old grandchild

This was worth the amount spent! It seemed confusing to play at first, but once I figured it out it was quite easy. I love that you work together and it uses deductive reasoning skills and encourages children to pay attention to detail. My granddaughter loved it and wanted to play it over and over. Would highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Offers a safe and positive gaming experience
Cons
  • May require advanced levels of critical thinking and problem-solving that could be too challenging for some children

Great game for kids if a little complex

My grandkids are a bit young for them game, but even as an adult, I found it a tad complex to learn. But the kids definitely love it and I live that it’s cooperative and not competitive. The game is set up in such a way that it’s much more likely for the kids to win than to lose which I guess is a good thing for very young kids, but could also take some of the excitement out of it. What bothered me most is that if you lose any single piece - and there are a lot of cards and little pieces - the…

Pros
  • Great fun! But we rarely loose
Cons
  • Limited replayability once mystery is solved
