Review on Gamewright Outfoxed! The Ultimate Cooperative Mystery Game For Kids by Sean Sitton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't be intimidated by the rules at first blush

Bought the game for my 5-year-old daughter and my 7-year-old niece. On first blush the instructions may seem intimidating, but do not be fooled by all the pieces and parts that come with the games. In the end it's simple. you look for clues each turn or you turn over suspects. The games is great for little ones since it's cooperative and it's all players against the fox. It's an inclusive game that is easy to pick up, good for both young and old, and possessed of a charming aesthetic.I'd encourage anyone on the fence about buying to check out some of the Youtube videos about the game. They echo a lot of the same sentiments I've laid out here but some of them give a tutorial as well, which only adds to the game's accessibility, especially if watched along with the kids.Enjoy!

Pros
  • Provides a positive and cooperative gaming experience
Cons
  • Limited character development of suspects and detective may not engage some children
