Suitable for power tool parts and accessories

This product does not contain instructions or explanations. Provide at least an explanation of the different parts as the items will be shipped fully disassembled. On my first use of this item, the drill bit I was using broke into several pieces (I was drilling into pine). This article doesn't necessarily create a pocket, but at least gives you enough angles to connect the two pieces.

It does its job (sort of)

Actually for $10 it's not that bad. I could make pocket holes so this served its purpose. They're beautiful and glamorous, no way. But did he give me what I needed? Yes. I don't have to pocket holes every day so this little tool is great for the occasional project here and there. The included drill bits aren't very good and we only recommend buying them if you have your own drill bits that actually work. Either way. I don't want to invest in a $60 tool so it worked for what I needed.

Poor quality, jig and drill bit won't allow pocket holes to be drilled

It's metal. So when metal rubs against wood, it naturally causes some discoloration. Not only did this jig discolor my piece of wood, it also prevented me from properly drilling a hole in the wood. Drilling was tricky and the black piece that screwed onto the template kept coming out when I tried to drill holes in it. Also, the drill bits don't cut through the wood like they should. Notice how short the ends of the bits are. This is unlike other drill bits used to make pocket holes.

Save money on power tools and hand tools

The idea is right, the price is right, but in practice it's better to use the few dollars this kit costs and put it in a real pocket hole to put jigs. The bits suck and are barely long enough to reach the tree (must be the wrong bits?). Even if the jig is secure, there is too much clearance in the collar and you only have to chew on the inside of the jig closest to the woodwork. There is now too much free space in the jig to do anything even remotely close to a clean starting hole. I ignored…

Pocket Gadget for those occasional occasions when you need a pocket gadget **UPDATED**

Why spend 3-5x more for a pocket gadget that you only use occasionally? It's strong enough to work. the supplied drill bits are fine, but everything fits together well, clamps quickly and ready. Very happy with use (within 10 minutes of receipt) and it did the job. **updated 9/20/21** I have used this a second time, apparently with my own drill bits, as the drill bits included are DANGEROUS and awful. The device slides on and the size in one fell swoop. This is great when you need a pocket hole
