📏 Precision Woodworking Positioning Measuring Crossed Out Carpenter Tool Review

I really like this tool. I make large porch signs and this helps me line up the text. That works great. The only problem is that the holes are very small. A regular pencil won't work, but a mechanical one will. The line breaks fairly easily, but this tool is so handy I don't mind.

I really wanted to like it. But you can't use 0.5mm or 0.7mm for wood marking. you break. If you could use 0.9mm I would give it a higher star rating. Also, as shown in another test, for some reason only known to the manufacturer, the lines around the four-inch mark start to get weird. Bottom line is they were returned and I'm biting the bullet and buying an 8 inch Woodpecker pocket t-shirt.

I liked it until I realized how inaccurate it was. Up to 4 inches was fine. At 4 inches, the marks are slightly tilted. Every centimeter after that becomes less precise. At 8 inches, it's 1/8 inch shorter. The 8" center hole looks accurate but doesn't match the markings. Also very slightly off angle when checked with the machinist's angle. It was close enough for my use. Overall I wouldn't have bought if I knew the grades were so far off.
