Imperial division Inaccurate

Mounted on the frame of a panel saw and compared to other gauges. Imperial gauges deviate approximately 1/32 inch every 12 inches. When I reached the end of the tape (40 inches), the measurements were off by 1/8 inch. Not good enough!

Pros
  • Excellent material
Cons
  • Some minor things

Nice addition to my miter saw fence

I gave 4 stars for durability? I would now say it's 3.5 stars because I haven't had it for so long. But for now it seems solid enough. It's easy to read. I built a new miter saw workstation with a new fence and attached to the fence and now I can measure and cut everything I need to cut. It's pretty accurate, maybe 1/64 of an inch. But again, good!

Pros
  • reading direction
Cons
  • I'll write later

Good way to convert square to metric

The imperial system is very tedious to use because it doesn't follow any logic. I bought this metric tape measure to attach to a drywall square I bought in Lowes to bring back from the dark days of the US system of measurement to the 20's. How good will it go on? I will update my review in a few months.

Pros
  • Measuring range
Cons
  • Big and bulky
