Melted in the Sun!: Jars

They're gorgeous and so pretty they're biodegradable so I paid way more for them than regular plastic cups but they MELT! It was only about 80 degrees outside and the whole stack melted and couldn't be used at my wedding. So if you get them make sure they stay in the shade or are used indoors.

Pros
  • 200 Compostable Cold Cups, 12 oz
Cons
  • Only available in black

Stay out of daylight!

We bought these for our wedding and spent the extra money ($70) on environmental concerns. Unfortunately, it was a huge waste of time and money. We couldn't use any of the mugs at the wedding. As with everything at the wedding, the cups were delivered to the venue by a shadowed car and unloaded immediately. We had moderate drizzle that day (maybe mid 60's). When we unwrapped them, we found that they had melted. We were in the country and had to send someone into town to buy cheap plastic cups.

Pros
  • Best for drinks below 110ยฐF
Cons
  • No automatic controls

These disposable biodegradable cups are great. LOVE that they are biodegradable. The only downside is that they dissolve when heated, so care must be taken when storing or using them. NOT recommended for hot beverages and should be kept in a cool, dry place. If exposed to direct sunlight on a warm day, they must be shaded or they will melt. Good value for money (they're a bit more expensive than single-use plastic cups, but they're biodegradable and don't harm the environment). Environment with
