My old flashlight was metal and more durable, but this one has a nice, easy-to-reach click to turn on and off, and is still reasonably bright. I bought this to fit a 4 gallon cubic tank. Because it sits so high and my tank is planted I bought a second one to run 2 at the same time. They look good but not the brightest. Whether your aquarium has artificial plants or no plants, a light will work. So here is the design flaw. The tensioning screw is located inside the tank. I bought two of these lights and they fit my Marineland 5G perfectly. However, I did not use the mount. Simply attach the bulbs to the top panel along with a small handle to lift the entire top. I bought a 4 outlet smart surge protector so I can set it up with a timer. The moonlight begins at 6:00 a.m. and goes out at 9:00 a.m. The light day begins at 8:00 a.m. and lasts until 8:00 p.m. The moonlight then returns at 7:00 p.m. and goes out at 9:00 a.m. This worked great for my setup and not too…
