Wraith Cooler Processor AM4 Connector Review

I replaced the standard cooler with this because I wanted new Aura RGB lighting for my case. I like the lighting setup which is very customizable for many different effects. I wasn't expecting the actual cooling to be better than my old AMD fan, but it offers improved cooling. If I leave the fan settings on variable speed, the CPU temperatures drop by about 4-5 degrees C under constant full load with my AMD quad-core, 8 threads.

It just arrived. I was expecting the box to say AMD or something. If genuine, it looks like it was taken out of the processor packaging as it doesn't look like it was intended for retail. It came in a large box with other items. A corner of the cooler box is dented, like someone took it and smashed it against a counter. Update: The cooler works without any problems, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I hear it running at full speed, but I've never heard the stock cooler run at full speed.

Product is new but mounting bracket is not included. Now it remains to wait for the arrival of the bracket. UPDATE: Once the mount arrived it was easy to install, probably took 5 minutes. The CPU temperature never exceeded 70°C in games. Works perfectly.

With Ryzen 5 3600x, Overwatch can reach 78°C at max settings and Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Godfall 85°C. It's too much and at full load it sounds like a jet engine. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 I've used never got anything above 76c so I'll just get my way! Label your CPU cooler and save yourself the trouble of finding a CPU cooler that isn't clean clothes. Just received today and after removing and inspecting the CPU it was obvious it was installed, not just installed but the bottom of the heatsink was thoroughly scratched! Not quite getting it as the thermal paste on the sink looked unused? I decided to use it anyway because I needed my computer to run and simple pre-install tests didn't work! Plugged into an available 4-pin PWR connector and there is no power to the fan and light bar! What a waste of $80! I will never buy from them again!

First of all. If you're paying around $80 for it, it should be new in the box. to wipe off that fake thermal paste and apply Hydronault thermal paste properly. if you sell a new one, then a new one, if used, then speak properly.

I originally bought this for the 3600x as it came with stealth and I wanted RGB to assemble. At 3600x everything seems fine but the temperature was still at 40s. On my 3700x the temp was at 40s, idle at a low 50s and this fan got very noisy. I have since upgraded my aftermarket CPU cooler and it is much quieter and cooler. For 3600 and below it's more than adequate and I like the RGB on it. Look elsewhere for something stronger.

Ok now to the product, I'm updating from Wraith Stealth which to its credit has been able to keep my CPU below 80C fairly consistently, only peaking a couple of times when slightly overclocked but with this update I rarely see 70 ° C and have overclocked them to 4.1 GHz.
