    works with one major downside.

    Easy to install for people who don't know how to manage the house and will do for my door. My only problem and the reason I came back to write a review was that the smelly black stuff keeps leaking out and every time I try to open the door with the little latch this crap gets me . Hands are damn hard to wash! Look, I just hope it's safe lube and not some toxic person or someone who wants to sue someone.

    Okay but you might want to invest in some aftermarket aluminum parts

    Steel bracket will rust. Who would have thought that aluminum parts for external devices?!     Easy to attach to door closers

    I bought this to replace the cylinder on my screen door and it fits perfectly. This is adjustable so the door closes quickly without slamming and the door can be opened a full 90 degrees. It comes with all the hardware but I just used the cylinder and sliding nut from the package and opted to use the hardware already installed on the door. I have to change them about every six years and the hardware is pretty generic across brands so for the price it's a very easy repair/replacement. I have…

    Poor performance - not recommended

    I installed one of these on a screen door hoping to get a controlled and stable closure. What happens instead is that you open the door about 90 degrees against the tension of the closer, and when you let go of the door it immediately closes more than halfway, then springs back to about 45 degrees, and then slowly and gradually closes.
