Wurkin Stiffs Slim Tie Clip Review

I often find myself in a situation where my tie becomes one with the wind and the tie smacks me in the face. I work as a night manager in a hotel and have to walk around the area several times a night to make sure there is no suspicious activity. To be honest they didn't impress me one bit. I'm not sure I understand why the alligator clip in the tie clip that the promotional insert talked about is so undesirable. I found these clips a little stiff and difficult to open at first and wonder how long they will last if I have to open them every time I put them on. I didn't find it too big and it was a secure fit. These clips do the job and look beautiful. I liked that it comes in a 3 pack with black, silver and gold clips.

What I like about these tie clips is that they are subtle and not flashy. The set comes in three basic colors that can be used with most ties: black, silver and gold. The clips are well made and fit both skinny and wide ties (3/4 the length of the tie as it should). I was a bit skeptical that the tie clip wouldn't hold the tie on the shirt without the alligator clip. Others with an alligator clip often slip or lose their position (staying perfectly horizontal), but the Wurkin Stiffs tie clip does a great job of holding my tie to my shirt. An added bonus is that the right edge of the bar stays flush with the tie (others often stick out a bit). A tie clip needs two things: first, it needs to fit well on a tie/shirt, and second, it needs to look good. These clips look very nice. You have an elegant look. They don't slip as easily as my spring-loaded tie clips, but they slip over a tie and shirt easily enough to hold the tie in place. Got a few compliments on the clips, that's nice too.
