I used this item as an anchor/support for a large cabinet wood stand that is sagging. I attached the rod to the shelf slats (2X6) and the extended bracket went around the closet rod. This solved the sag problem. Usually these mounts are for pipes, but they worked in my situation. The only downside was that the bolts used for the mount stuck out so far and they had to have some kind of plastic cap on them to keep from scratching your hand or ripping clothing that gets close to them.

This pipe is exactly 2 1/4" OD - as you can see the screws provided do not reach the other side. I had to buy longer bolts and nuts. I assume the packaging is correctly labeled for this size of pipe. Also, the metric thread didn't quite match the closest metric thread I could find in HD. Nicely made block - it's polished, has silicone inlays so whatever you wrap doesn't scratch it, but that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

I bought 2 pairs of 2.76-2.99 diameter collars to fit 3 inch outdoor volleyball tubes use and I couldn't like the clips and the quality of the stainless steel fittings better for this purpose. which are also made of stainless steel and have good carvings. They are tightened perfectly with an Allen key and drill through the mesh tension perfectly. great discovery instead of hurting the customer or paying the nose of the VB provider.
