Highly Recommended - Generators and Portable Power Supplies

I connected this inverter to 4 group 29 marine batteries in my trailer. I have 5000 and 13500 BTU AC units. It fed a 13,500 BTU unit on a 100 degree day for 1.5 hours before the batteries died. I started my generator hooked up to just a 100 amp charger. The AC unit then continued to operate normally on the inverter. It powered the 5000 BTU unit all night without a generator, and in the mornings I brewed coffee in my Keurig coffeepot. My batteries were still 12 volts. Worked great.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Affordable and good quality, hard to come by 1500w at 12v

The price was right and for a 12v system this inverter gives clean power but not up to 1500w. I still give it a rating 5 stars for the price, fast shipping and features, but it's more like a 1000w inverter. I tried running a 1250 pulse load at 850w but the inverter said no. 12 volt systems are for small things, I'll switch to 48 volts and buy another one of those inverters rated at 48 volts. I'm sure it will meet my requirements.

Bought this unit for a self contained backup/RV with 12ft coverage.

This unit was purchased for a self contained backup/covered 12ft wheeled trailer. The trailer is equipped with 6 solar panels with a capacity of 100 W and batteries with a capacity of 8,155 Ah. This inverter powered the home during two power outages lasting more than 24 hours, and while camping, provided enough power to run a toaster oven, microwave, small refrigerator, and 6000 BTUs of AC power. Until I had to shut down one to start the other. Everything needed to assemble this device was…

It takes a much larger cord to get the rated power out but it works

I'm trying to use a small welder in my shed. The welder doesn't work with a modified sine wave so I switched to a pure sine wave at 5000w 12v. The welder starts and sounds good but does not weld. Just get an overload signal on the inverter. The instructions state that if your device comes with more than two leads (1 positive and 1 negative), you must use all of them. I had 2 pieces of the 4th caliber. No chance! Nothing done. I ended up upgrading the cables to 0000 gauge (4/0) and adding four…

They are the most reliable among generators and portable power supplies

Now I have 3 reliable inverters. Two for 24 volts and one for 12 volts. My 24 volt system has been running for 6 months with no issues including a medium sized fridge, lighting and a 260 watt gaming computer. All three inverters have 1500 watts. I try to reduce the load to 1000 watts or less. Great inverters. Customer service is also excellent. Very attentive and helpful. For your information. Always use heavy gauge input cables. They can never be too big, but they can easily be too small. Many

Popped and smoked when I first connected a small air conditioner to it

Smoke came out trying to start a 1000w air conditioner. I'm not sure what kind of surge this AC creates at startup, but it destroyed the inverter when I first connected it to AC. There was a crackling sound, and then smoke came out of the inverter. I wish I had tried it when it first arrived rather than believing that once everything else was settled it would work. Mine will never do 4kW continuous and 8kW peak power. It's probably too late to send it back, so it's a total loss on first use…

  • Great design

Works as advertised

I bought this inverter to use when my ski condo runs out of power. I have a switch for the generator input, but I didn't want to store gas and have to deal with gas stabilization, carburetor cleaning and the like. So I bought a 1kW inverter at a car dealership and made a fake cable to connect the output of a single phase inverter to the input port of a two phase generator. It worked, but the partial power motor in the central heating would not start. The stove (a modern high-efficiency…
