Works on a 10 year old computer with Windows 10

I connected Nvidia (set) to my 10+ year old computer and updated all updates to Windows 10 64 bit, it worked without any problems. Not even a driver is required. The only problem was that it was necessary to spray the board connectors and PCI slot (unused for over 10 years) with a quality cleaner designed for use on the motherboard to maintain a good connection. while satisfied. Purchased on 06/12/2021. There is only 100MB MOCA, but MOCA has been changed to Gig adapters, all switches, etc. to…

Didn't work for me: Computers and Accessories

The first one I got didn't work on Windows 10 64 bit. I requested a replacement which was delivered the next day (a point for the seller). However, I had the same problems with the second one: installed the card on my computer, ran the windows autoinstaller, and the card couldn't contact my DHCP server to get an address. So on a whim I decided to see what happens when I specify a different driver - Windows 7 64 bit. And it works! So I thought, OK, now that I have internet access again, let's…

Done works on Win XP, 7 and Ubuntu 18.04 Linux

I have 3 old computers that have both PCI and PCI-e slots but all the PCI-e slots were occupied. I needed a second network card to access the "private" (intranet) network that includes our NAS devices and printers. One machine is running Windows XP with legacy hardware that cannot be migrated to a newer OS, one is running Windows 7, and a third is running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with KDE Plasma. All 3 can access the internet through the network interface on the motherboard and the private network on…

Works great for what it is

I installed this on a 15 year old Dell desktop and it works great. I can't run it at maximum speed, but that's not due to the card, it's due to PCI bus limitations. However, I can easily reach speeds over 600 Mbit/s. Overall it's not the best solution, but as long as you have a free PCIe slot on the same computer it's still good and easy to install too.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • So far so good
