🚗 TabScan X7 Car Code Reader: Full-System Diagnostic Scanner & Active Test Tool for VW, Android 8.1 Tablet Review

I've tried this on 3 GM cars. 2 out of 3 allowed bi-directional control and real-time streaming of engine data. A 2006 GM car will not work with this live data tool, but will work with other tools. The user interface is nice, but the registry is a bit messy. The price is definitely reasonable for the controls on offer (if they work) as many similarly equipped tools cost 2-4 times as much. This is by no means store level, but a good tool for a quick initial analysis.

TabScan X7 Car Code Reader OBD2 works great. It has a ton of features and does pretty much everything I'll ever need and then some. Much better than those tiny cheap scanners. I recently changed the oil on my 2010 Mercedes E550 (W212 chassis) and tried it reset as usual oil change message in Assyst menu (very easy to do with Autel) but for some reason X7 couldn't do it. It showed an error message that this was not possible. The car's ECU responded with "7E" which means access denied, which in turn means the X7 cannot connect to the car's ECU in service mode.
