Great starter kit for DIY Wax

Great kit for DIY ski or snowboard waxing. All you need is an iron, base cleaner, a set of thick rubber bands and you’re set for approximately 4-6 applications. I’ve used this kit four times now and it has held up well. The brushes need to be cleaned and maintained as well as all of the other items to get the most out of this kit. If you want the complete job done, including edges, you’ll need to order an edge bevel as well. REI was charging $40 with member prices.four sessions, $160 in…

  • Neat pack that is essential if you board enough to need the wax. Convenient case is a big benefit.

Nice set for ski tune up with a few draw backs

Nice set for ski tune up with a few drawbacks. I’ve already used all three included brushes and they all worked as expected.Beware that the included plexi glass scraper is only 3mm thick and you will have to look for a replacement (4mm or/and 5mm) depending on your application. Also this scraper does not have rounded corners for cleaning out grooves in cross country skis. You would have to manually round up a corner or two using your own tools (and maybe with help from included file).The rigid…

Quality product, exceptional value

This waxing kit is fantastic, and a great deal. If you bought each item separately, it cost twice as much. I also really like the case. My favorite is the horsehair brush, it is the finishing touch to get the perfect smoothness. I am so glad I purchased this kit.

Does what in needs too & extra space in travel case.

Exactly as described. This is my first snowboarding wax kit. I bought a rink a dink iron at walmart & used go gone as a substitute for my base cleaner. The kit provides you with everything you need besides those two items. Googled a YouTube DIY & 2 hours later I have a freshly waxed snowboard. Great starter kit.
