Excellent hammer. This is not a hammerless hammer. This is a good ball hammer. There is material in the dead hit hammer. So when you hit and counter, the inertia of the material makes the hit harder. This hammer doesn't have that.
If anything in this hammer has a failsafe percussion hammer, there's too much of it to not budge in the hammer head at all. It does not absorb rebound or vibration. This appears to be normal for a standard ball joint. I recommend something better if you want something that's actually a dead slap hammer.

Got this to replace a missing pawl hammer. I'm not a full time mechanic anymore so I can't justify 130 for a snapon. This hammer definitely doesn't have the same quality as Snapon, but it's about 10 times cheaper. The head seems hard enough and not too easy to damage. However, the deathblow feels wrong. With my other zero-rebound hammers, you'll feel the sand in your head when you shake them. You can't do this and the performance isn't that good. But for the price I can't complain. I can get…
