Sent size XXL by mistake but the way it was made makes up for it as the straps cross at the back to make it a snug enough fit. Daughter is tall and thin (kids are 10 years old) and glad she has room to grow. Bought as a piece of clothing so doesn't have to fit perfectly. Washes well. Hasn't disappeared.

It's so beautiful! The 3/4 size is perfect for my newly minted 3 year old at an average height of 32 pounds and a perfect height of 38 inches and really has nowhere to grow. If your child is taller or older I would recommend ordering a size up but I bought the black and pink and they are beautiful. Definitely recommend this item!

I know you don't want the front to be cut too low but the straps are ridiculously short/tight around the shoulders. I ordered a size up (ie size 7-8) for my 6 year old daughter because she wears that with every other outfit and it was too small. It will grow out of that in the next 6 months if it doesn't shrink terribly the first time you wash it because it then becomes too small.
