📸 YONGNUO YN685: High-Speed Wireless Flash Speedlite for Nikon DSLR Cameras Review

Great price, good TTL, very strong. The material is of good quality, the sewing is normal. You have to get used to the display and the settings, especially if you've been dealing with Nikon flashes all your life. I recommend to a friend.

I love these flashes. I have two for my Nikon d7200. They work well, there are no glitches with Nikon. More powerful than my sb-700. I give them a good smack. I use it for backyard wildlife and macro photography, so I get close to max burst on every shot. Mostly on camera, but sometimes I use the YN-622N-TX trigger off camera. You can google all the good things about Yongnuo flashes, this review is basically just to say I have two good units and they are holding up well.

My experience with this flash has been positive. I've shot a few weddings and it's been reliable and gives great results with bounce flash. The flash also handles wireless triggering with my TX transmitter perfectly. There were no dropouts or unwanted flashes like I've experienced with cheaper flashes in the past. I bought this to be able to change flash settings remotely with my 622N-TX (without having to use the bulky 622 receiver on each flash to get remote slave capability ). The 685 has good power output and fast reloads (faster than my 560III). However, when I change the power setting of the 622N-TX on my camera, the flash does not update the power settings until the shutter is released (or the "test" button on the 622N-TX is pressed). Fragile design even compared to previous YONGNUO flashes. The flash is not put together as well as the previous version I own (568EXII). The LCD screen isn't that clear and the LCD backlight wasn't working properly when I first used it, I had to smack it lightly with my right hand to get the backlight to work now.
