Use as a replacement for the legs of a camping chair

Got a nice little lightweight camp chair but lost my legs when it sank into the ground the first time. I found these trekking pole tips perfect for replacing the factory legs on my chair. They are larger than the factory legs and fit even better. Best of all, they no longer sink into soft ground like I lost the originals! Plus way cheaper than what chair manufacturers want for their special "oversized" chair legs.

Pros
  • KIT: 4 durable vulcanized rubber tips to choose from. ) Around
Cons
  • Hard to say

The metal tip went through 8 miles. connection is.

Metal tip lasted 8 miles. Composition is too soft. My last pair of Swix ran about 100 miles. I would go again but not worth the hassle. I don't understand the positive reviews. I could be the technician. I tend to hit the ground to take off more of my upper body as I walk. If you are an elderly person and use sticks for support or relaxation, they may be appropriate. A good one will have some metal so the metal tip of your sticks doesn't stick out. The manufacturer will fix it well.

Pros
  • THREE SHAPE OPTIONS: The unique design offers stability for all types of hikes and walks. Choose the Round for regular walks and hikes, it's great for balance and stability on uneven terrain. Choose Tapered Medium for Nordic Walking for maximum support OR choose Extra Firm for Nordic Walking for durability, not traction.
Cons
  • Compatibility

Awesome trekking pole feet

I am disabled and walk about 5,000 steps a day, most of it around the block or in the nearest park. Surfaces are sometimes uphill, downhill, or sloped to the left or right. When I switched from traditional trekking pole tips to these, my confidence in poles increased significantly. If there was a wet sheet or the like on the sidewalk or path, the poles would not slip. The tips also tilt so the three "chicken legs" of the tips always land on any surface for maximum balance without slipping. I…

Pros
  • Medium sized round rubber feet for maximum grip and stability
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Low wear for high-intensity Nordic outdoor walkers

I am a serious Nordic walker. I walk 15 to 20 miles a week depending on my work schedule. I'm a certified instructor etc - my technique is decent. About half of my typical route is on tarmac, the rest is on trails where I remove rubber tips and use carbides. The rubber tips that I have always used are very expensive. about $20 for a pair. My nibs have started to wear out and it's time to buy another pair to have on hand so I can replace them soon. I change the brush head about every 8 weeks…
