Just a few days later this unit stopped working. I bought this product because I thought I read somewhere in the description that it would work from a USB port. This is not the case and should occupy the required power connection (cigarette lighter plug). I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature display from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I'll throw it away when I get a radio for my truck and when it has its own clock.

Works as advertised. The brightness of the display is clearly visible, and when the device is off, the device runs on batteries and the brightness is significantly reduced, saving battery power. To switch between degrees C and F, press the down button for about 3 seconds, then press again to switch from C to F and back. If this small device would meet all its claims of specific needs, the cost would increase many times over.

Adhesive circle sticks perfectly to my wife's dashboard but not the block it's supposed to hold! It has crashed multiple times since the day I installed it. She gave it up now I bought some glue to try and get it working. Very disappointed! Update February 2020: This device does not show the time accurately at all. It is always connected to the network and the car drives every day, but the time is often lost (year, month and day are also lost every time).

I've bought many of these from different vendors over the years. I really like the display, the color and the information shown. The voltage and thermostat readings are fairly accurate and I only need to set the time every few months - this is not a quartz watch. My only complaint, and this is just a design feature, is that the external temperature sensors never last very long. Every one I've ever bought and installed in my car has had to replace the outside temperature sensor at some point…

Works great for what I wanted. The green LED also turns to amber, which is what I'm using. I wanted to attach it to an open spot on the dashboard with velcro and I wanted it to be flat. For this I wanted to remove the base bracket that the clock is attached to. If you want to do this, there is a Phillips head screw in the battery compartment and you can pry off the front panel with a flat head screwdriver. The stand is attached with a small Phillips screw. I bought this clock with LCD display and temperature thermometer to fit my 'Custom' 1995 GMC pickup truck. I installed/glued the block to the top of the rear view mirror frame. I was delighted and pleased with the installation and the look, it took me over a day to install. I had to remove the mirror assembly from the windshield and glue it to the top of the mirror frame. My joy was short-lived, however, as disappointment gave way when I finally electronically connected the device to the truck.
