Goes well with Yost Vise

Works great with my Yost Vise to hold fragile items or items I don't want vise marks on - I've always used shop towels for this purpose. They are magnetic, hold up well and work as expected. You have to be realistic about how you use them - they are designed for fragile items. So if you think you can turn a vise and then bang the workpiece with a full hammer, you're using the wrong one. . When used as intended, they are perfect and irreplaceable.

Very good jaw pads - magnets are a little weak

I have two sets of vise pads, one aluminum faced and one rubber faced (like the ones in the picture). They are well made and look meaty. The various V-grooves in the aluminum bezel kit work well to hold the small, round shank in place. The rubber surface of the other set is a good balance between too soft and too hard. The reason I gave them 4 stars over 5 is because of the magnets that hold them to the vise jaws. The magnets just aren't strong enough. They hold in place by themselves, but it…

not worth the money

I chose these jaws because I have a vice with 2 1/2 inch wide jaws and they have magnets which are a solid strip so I figured that they stick to my cast iron vise jaws much better than pads with 2 round magnets and I figured that since they cost a lot more than the other types they probably have better magnets. I noticed this but thought I'd give it a try. When trying to clamp the small gun in the vise I hit one of the pads VERY lightly and it fell out of the vise and as I tried to move the gun
