I have a Monster Yost vise and it was a great tool. I was looking forward to these pads for some of the pen spins I did. No! Magnets are weak, plastic is very slippery. Maybe he would hold the whistle. everything else wants to slide and dodge. Any deviation pushes the plates off the jaws and your workpiece flies! I bought these at the same time as the 5" Yost Vise. I like my visa very much. These cheek covers are so-so. You are super fat. Soft and rubbery. The magnets are not strong and will break with minimal use. I think their material could be thinner and the material could be harder. I don't have anything else to use so I'll use this and get by. On the first day of use, one of the three magnets (three on each side) came off. I contacted Yost about this and Yost responded very quickly. Yost's answer: Take some super glue and stick it in place. I replied that I didn't want to fix the product as suggested, I wasn't sure if the remaining magnets would stay in place.
