Short Life: Lamps

Less than 400 hours and the light becomes dim. Still works fine. UPDATE: Now, after 5 months of heavy use (5 hours every day), it still works with no further deterioration.

Good price, bright enough

Arrived the next day. Ease of installation. Not the brightest bulb I've bought, but bright enough to see during the day. Good price. What I'm most happy about is that I didn't have the flickering that I had with the last bulb I bought.

Update: After 6 months, the light bulb dies

Update: After 6 months, the light bulb clearly dies, making high-pitched sounds and constantly flickering. Came in good packaging, not damaged. Replaces an old lightbulb in 2 minutes. Much brighter than the old light bulb, light bulb, but I think the old one is running out. The only issue that bothers me is a slight high wine coming out of the projector, but after a few days of use I stopped hearing it.

There is simply no brightness

Well, this lamp is a clone of the floor lamp. It installs and fits the same way. It doesn't come with installation instructions like the original lamp, but it's most likely in your projector's manual (they were for me). I'm disappointed in the brightness. This is my third lamp overall. Last time I installed a new OEM replacement that cost twice as much. When I was new, in the brightest mode on my project, this bulb was so bright it hurt my eyes. This also happened when the projector was brand…

Pros
  • Beamer and accessories
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

It turns on and works, but that's where the fun ends.

I usually buy incandescent bulbs for $35 and put them in my cases before installing them so they work properly and last about 1000 hours before they noticeably fade and I start to thinking about replacing them. and then finally break down and actually do it around the 1500 hour mark when it becomes impossible to see in anything but a completely dark room. I decided to spend the extra money on this unit in the hopes that I don't have to work on it before installing it and have good brightness…
