So I use this to get power from the outlet in my garage 2A security camera outside my garage where there are no outlets around and it works great for that purpose. I don't know how good it is at transmitting information that far, but it doesn't have the power issues needed to run my cheap little security camera and for that purpose it works great. I would recommend it for this purpose.

This cable is good for low bandwidth devices like mouse, keyboard, flash memory, etc. But if you need to stream HD content, this really is the case need 480 Mbps, this is not for you.
