So far so good, we've had shells and no ants for about three weeks now. The bowls aren't that big, so I used one for each bowl of dry and wet food. Completely maintenance free, just keep them away from anything for ants to crawl over such as. B. a wall.

I was skeptical, ants are determined little creatures that always seem to find their way in or onto something. Although it really works. I was shocked to realize the ants would be around while my pets were eating messy food, but not a single ant made it to the blue lid or bowl. I'm surprised

so far so good. I live in Hawaii where there are ants everywhere but they haven't started eating this thing yet. The only downside is that the smooth surface doesn't hold the food bowl well, allowing pets to slip off. Easy attachment with Velcro on the bowl and on the feeding trough. I'm happy!

Well I don't write many reviews but I was so shocked that others said they didn't work. I have ranch cats and bought them about three years ago. They are beautiful and repel ants. No more food waste! Don't put them on the grass or lean them against the wall. Or is there something the ant can climb on to get through the maze? I just bought two more for the back deck. I don't think you can find anything better. Thank you for this invention! My cats love it too!

We bought this for our farm cats (photo of untested ant trails) and it has worked from day one (a year). We haven't had to do any maintenance, cleaning, adjustments - nothing - since we got it. Shot and forget, relax, move on. Critical: A dish must not touch anything else. If you keep the plate away from objects, cabinets, walls, leftover food, etc., the ants cannot reach the top.
