Perfect for a near-natural waterfall in my gecko's terrarium.

I use them for the waterfall in my crested gecko terrarium. They were a bit dusty so rinse them before use. They hold water well and don't mold. Be sure to buy more than you think you will need. I ended up with 2 pockets for my Exo Terra 12 x 12 x 18.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Something different

Expensive but good product

When I first discovered this product the price was listed as 13.99. Two weeks later it was £19.99 for £2.50, which of course won't go far. I found that the price is much higher if it's "for reptiles". You can get the same "for plants" at a lower price. This is a great product, just expensive.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

High quality and unique

These terracotta baubles are the perfect accent to my succulent collection. There was minimal dust in the packaging and after soaking in water and rinsing briefly, I added it to the top of my potted succulents. I haven't noticed any effects on water retention, but they certainly add a unique spatial feature to my potted plants.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Minor issues

Too small for hydroponic mesh cups.

Not bad actually. I bought these for my hydroponic plants and so far they are doing the job. Had to rinse it several times before use and it doesn't crush a lot of pebbles. My only complaint is how small the pebbles are. I have to put cotton balls in my mesh baskets because they keep pushing out. Again, they were designed for reptile habitats, not plants, so I don't blame them for that.

Pros
  • A good product for its price
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Great to help with moisture. highlighted.

I recommend placing these HydroBalls in any habitat that requires higher humidity such as a patio. B. our tree frog terrarium. Easy to install and what a treat it is to simply fill the bottom of your waterproof habitat with water rather than constantly misting it daily to keep it moist. You must purchase a screen to cover these clay balls before installing the EcoTerra substrate. They are quite a helper in caring for a pet.

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Not all will fit

I was very upset with their size. The picture in the advert was very deceptive! What am I supposed to do with hydroballs that small? I needed a lot more than many others. Not to mention my Revain driver was too interested in the contents of my package and blew a hole in both bags! By the way, the holes are torn out, manual work 🤦‍♀️ I expect more professionalism from Revain! This is the second package destroyed in a week.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Great for hydroponics!

If you are looking for hydroponic equipment, look no further. This bag will hold approximately 30 Solo Cup planters or more. This is the cheapest price and has very few chips. Don't forget to wash your eggs. They're pretty dusty. Edit: Starting a new garden and I'll come back to these. Another price check shows this is the best value for under $20. At the end of my hydroponics experience I was able to fill about 24 cups with 1 inch balls and I had 1/4 of a bag left. I lost my balls in traffic…

Pros
  • Outstanding Design
Cons
  • Flaws

Much smaller than advertised

I'd say the largest balls I've seen were just under 0.25 inch/6mm +/-. I think I should have picked the ones advertised as MASSIVE and not the ones advertised as normal/medium. Obviously the folks at ZooMed don't know how to measure things. I bet if you ask them they all have 12 inches between their legs. I'll use them because I need them too, but I'm not happy at all. I need to somehow alter the vents in my case so they don't clog and/or just fall out and scatter. Such a shame. I guess I'll…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
