They work great as long as you don't shake them when .

They work well as long as they are not shaken when hot. The first two only lasted 2-3 weeks because the chicks kept running to them. The other two lived in my chicken coop for two years as the adult hens left them alone. Yes, I will buy them again.

Top quality, best in the terrarium Heat Lamps and Mats

Everything else we've bought from our local pet store has literally cracked or broken after a few days of use. Same power, everything. We turn it on in the evening, turn it off when we wake up. Habits haven't changed. We bought them in a pack of 4, thinking we'd buy them in bulk so we didn't have to run to the store to replace them - to our surprise. we haven't had to change anything yet!

For prolonged use, leave them on all the time.

We use them to add extra warmth to leopard gecko habitats. They last MUCH longer if left on. We have it in a clamp on a lamp with a handle that we lower over the tank during the day and raise and point to one side at night. With this use, they last 3-6 months. If we turned them off every night, they would work for a month or two at most.

Cons

Good infrared lamps, but short-lived.

I like that these infrared heat lamps have a power of 50W. Perfect power for my birds. I also love how they get warm IF THEY last long enough, at least for my birds to get through the winter months. However, they are NOT durable and do not work well! Of the 4 bulbs purchased, one burned out on the day of use. Another burned out within a week. Then, within two weeks, another burned out. I wonder how long the third will last? Don't expect them to last very long. They don't. Very disappointed.
