The light is great, die too soon.

I've always liked mini CFLs for my planted aquariums. I have 3 tanks with them. One 10g and two 5.5g bottles. They worked fine before. Now they burn out too fast! My last last day! They do NOT last a year, not even 6 months. My plants love them, the quality seems to have gone down.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Compatibility

Burned out in 4 days

Put this lamp in my lamp. Four days later he stopped working. I contacted an electrician to make sure it would work in my setup - it's not the operator's fault. The transformer blew, but they said this shouldn't have happened. Ordered a replacement and sent the original back. I'm hoping for the best result this time.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Only available in black

Clig lights! - Fish and Aquatic Animals

I gave this expensive bulb three stars because although the quality of the bulb is fine and it did what it should, the light was so bright and blinding that I felt a little sorry, my fish live with "Klige" lighting. So. Good lamp, no complaints. I just didn't care about the bright blue light in my aquarium.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Good light for 2.5 gallon mini-bow

I bought a 2.5 gallon mini-bow but read that standard fluorescent lights have problems with overheating the water in the aquarium ( if you already have a heater) which I do). The Zoo Med light worked great and didn't change the water temperature in my small tank at all. I'm not sure if it provides enough light for the few plants I have in the tank, but so far they seem to be thriving as well.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Empty

Not durable

First lamp I sent back to Revain. didn't even work. Their return procedures were great and that is the ONLY reason this gets 2 stars. This is about the 4th bulb of this type and they last about a month - 2 months. So I spent $30. and got a new top for my 10 gallon tank with LED lights. Day and night settings (blue). So far, so good. But at $10 for each bulb it will pay for itself in about 6 months if I don't have any problems.

Pros
  • CFL with own ballast
Cons
  • High price

Good quality lamp but not very bright

FIRST IMPRESSIONS I received these lamps in the mail today so can't comment on their long term use. I decided to share some of my first impressions. I will update this review in a few months. These lamps have a very good build quality. They have good thermal sync and appear to be very durable. You have two pipes coming out of the base and returning to the base in a square shape. Their light they produce seems to be at or around 65500k which is what you need for plants. However, I don't think…

Pros
  • Simulates natural sunlight
Cons
  • Slightly torn
