Low trust: Memory card accessories

Who sends the driver on a 3.5 inch CD? I was immediately concerned. load automatically. I downloaded the driver on the website and it gave me the driver option for Windows 7. What's next for the Commodore 64? Eventually I'll get it working.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • I don't like it, everything is fine

So far the product looks and works as described. I received it on time and in a nice box and bubble wrap. It loaded without any issues and I was using it within 2 minutes of unzipping it. It feels solid and the connection indicator for the inserted card stays green when in use, but turns red until you've fully inserted it. Good positive feedback to let you know your card is installed correctly. As long as I like it

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • There are flaws

Works perfect! on memory card accessories

This reader works great with the latest version of ActivClient software used by the Department of Defense. The built-in Windows drivers work perfectly and have no special features. It works great with HID smart cards. I haven't tried the DOD-issued CAC in a reader, but I'm sure it will work since these card reading protocols are pretty standard in the industry.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works very well :)

Ordered for my son who served in the army and lost the previous ones: he needed to read the ID and he didn't need to install the gadget on a laptop with a hard drive; but just in case, save the disc because. On the table you will probably need a floppy disk with instructions. Very good and fast reader.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

Totally disappointed

This device cannot be used. While it installs in a neat little box with a mini CD-ROM, it doesn't fit the Mac as advertised, making it ultimately useless. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to return the device, hopefully it will fit someone else. As far as I'm concerned, this is a useless lesson.

Does what it says on the box

If you need to use a smart card or CAC to sign documents or access DoD-related systems, this is a valuable tool. Ease of installation. It comes with a CD, but since most people don't have CDs anymore, you can go to the website and download what you need. In my case, they were only preliminary certifications from the US Department of Defense.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • May cause harm

Great product for the price

Most card readers are around $20 after tax. The price of this product corresponds to its value. It has rubber stoppers at the bottom of each corner to prevent it from slipping or shifting easily. The design features an increased curvature that keeps your card upright wherever it's placed. Serves the purpose I bought it for with no problems setting up.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Little repairability

Cheap but works!

I'm amazed at how cheap this is, but it works the same as the CAC reader I use at work. I was able to easily access all my military locations. Now I can access all my military email and websites from the comfort of my home. Definitely worth every penny and would recommend to others. The reader itself is quite durable and should last a long time. In general a good product.

  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals

SUPER Demanding and difficult to maintain Connection

I have had this card reader for almost 2 years now. It worked great for the first 6 months. After that, the cable had to be positioned just so that the reader could be connected to the computer. It's not the USB or the device itself, it's the location of the cable. and different every time. Imagine sitting at your desk sipping coffee with one hand and holding the CAC reader over your head just to plug the damn thing in. Super disappointing. 0/10 recommend this for long term use. Wouldn't buy…

Pros
  • Memory card accessory
