I could not find the original mounting screws for my Rosewill Thor V2 case. I bought them as the only 10mm hard drive mounting screws I could easily find. 2 complete sets (8 bolts and 8 damping washers). Not exactly the original, but fit. Length and thread are correct. The only difference: the original screw heads are flatter and have a larger diameter. Works but good replacement. No sticky threads or gap issues.

Mounting screws used in older PCs (HP and Dell alike) did not fit a newly purchased HP EliteDesk PC. Also, HP's mounting screws were not available on the HP parts page. The ZRM&E set of 8 screws and rubber washers did its job well, allowing me to mount two hard drives. The HP mounting screws for it would have cost more than 10 times as much and were sold out!

I ordered them for a less typical HD resonance noise reduction application in a Fostex HD multitrack recorder. The HD in my DMT-8vl is mounted on a steel plate with no insulation attached to the unit's steel bottom plate and at 7200 rpm HD a strong resonant howl can be heard through the chassis. Installing these spacers and screws has had remarkable results, perhaps a 50% reduction in noise, particularly at high frequencies. In order for me to be able to mount the bushings, I had to drill the holes for the mounting screws to 7/32", a fairly large hole. After that, I did it to slide them through. Then install the screws from the "small" end, and the hard drive meets the "big" end. The good news is that they greatly reduce the noise of the hard drive.
