dimensions listed are outside dimensions. . .

Yet again you cannot trust the dimensions given on amazon, it's as if the seller thinks you want to know the outside dimensions of the box and not the inside dimensions. Well I've got news, it's a container, which means things go inside of it, which means that if I am buying a container for a specific thing, I care far more about the inside dimensions than the outside. The inside dimensions are not listed anywhere, as is typical for some reason, meaning you have to go through a tedious…

Perfect for outdoor weathertight electrical installation

Used to mount a thermostat in a wash bay at a Dealership. Easy to mount and looks like it will keep the stat dry. May not provide adequate protection against impact or rough handling.

Good quality good for me

Used these to mount small controllers in. So far they seem to be very good quality. All thought they look weatherproof I have not tested that.At this price point I would purchase again.

Pros
  • Have yet to install, but appears to be a very well designed and sturdy, weather proof box.
Cons
  • the internal mounting holes in the 11x15 version are actually 213mmx316mm. Box feels kind of flimsy.

as advertised best in my review

like: arrived very fastlike: size is goodpurpose: I am going to run a shaft through it ,(watertight?) I have slip seals to install at each end . I am mounting proximity sensors in the box to activate indicator lights as the shaft rotates.this will be in a " hostile" environment for proximity sensors.time will tell

Good weatherproof electronics box

I used this box to house my custom-made wifi swimming pool light control. It is mounted on a wall next to the pool equipment where it is exposed to the weather. Since I'm using wifi relays, the contol can't be housed in a metal box, and so this box was perfect. I particularly like the fact that it is easy to open for access to the electronics.

  • Solidly built, tight fitting lid.Suits my purpose just right.

  • May warp or distort if exposed to extreme temperatures

Works great but …. - my new review

I am using this to house a small motor for a chicken door. It is weather tight and works great, however, it is extremely difficult to latch. 4 ½ stars.

Pros
  • Used as a waterproof junction box to protect against rain for my lawn lights.
Cons
  • Not ideal for larger projects as it is on the smaller side
