Great water bottle, still rock solid

This is the second Zulu style water bottle we have ordered and by far our favorite! It's pretty much indestructible and the lid latch works great. It would be great if more than an ounce helped, but that's about the same amount for a baby water bottle. Ordered in both blue and turquoise, they stand out nicely against a sea of school water bottles!

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • There are imperfections

Nice sturdy body, the cap is permanently removed

The bottle works quite well in most cases, no problem: there is a small metal pin that holds the cap and allows this pin to be opened/closed multiple times. It's not just one bottle because we have the exact same bottle in navy and it does exactly the same thing. Every time I fill it up, I check to see if the pin comes out and push it back in. I just wish I didn't have to do that.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Love this water bottle!

I have a long list of wishes when it comes to kids water bottles: - larger water bottle (14 oz+) - spout with straw that can be completely disassembled/cleaned to avoid mold growth . - something that will survive in the dishwasher - "indestructible" or close - stainless steel/keeps drink cold - lockable lid That's it! My only concern is if my 5 year old can chew on the rubber part of the spout, but so far so good. We already have two and will definitely be ordering more! @Zulu can you add more…

hold ice! best in Sports water bottles

We fill baby bottles with ice and water before school. And then they come home and there's still ice cream! Ours have some dents and scratches, we have very rude children aged 8 and 5. But the least! Our blue had a sprung lid but our son dropped it at the bus stop. Our turquoise nose is falling apart but we have it too, probably 3 years old and our child bites it when nervous. Beautiful aluminum water bottle that keeps drinks cold and mostly pops ice. We also wash them in the dishwasher on the…

Damn, it WAS a cool bottle

So I'm editing the review, it's been almost three months and everything has gone downhill. The spout detaches from the lid, making a big mess. The lid lock is difficult to open. Zulu does not manufacture replacement parts for this water bottle. So if your mouthpiece on your water bottle starts to loosen and leak, you are SOL. Having had Zulu brands for the last three years of school I am very frustrated with how crappy the bottle really is. On the other hand, he freezes for several hours, but…

  • The possibility of updating

Works well - UPDATED - Doesn't last long

kids UPDATED: The lid lasted about 2 1/2 months before the hinge broke. I tried screwing it back down with floral wire. it shakes, but I don't want to spend money on another bottle of water anytime soon. I bought a similar locking lid from Target for my other child and it works much better. I would stay away from that. I tried to find a replacement but couldn't find it. the one i see is for 18 ounces and it is for 14 ounces. I would buy a different version or brand. Bought these for school as…

Not bad for a bottle with a closed spout

I bought this water bottle because my kids daycare required that we supply water bottles with a closed spout. My two kids (2 and 5) have been using this bottle for about a year and they love it. Usage: My youngest child was about 2 or 2.5 years old before they had finger strength to push a button. Keep ice water cold (for an hour or two) in the Arizona heat. Shelf Life: My 5 year old isn't too rough with his bottle. There are a few small scratches but it's holding up well. The locking mechanism
