ZULU Studio Plastic Bottle Silicone Review

This is my third bottle of Zulu. I had one with a screw top that went through hell and survived. It didn't fit in a cup holder and was difficult to drink from while driving or walking. Updated on this and LOVE it. Yes, it's big, almost 900ml, but it fits in my car's cup holder and I can open it with one hand. Always great bottles!

28 oz, not 26 oz as listed. It suited me, so I'm keeping it. It seems very durable and fits in the cup holder in the car. After losing my favorite Jordan & Judy glass water bottle, I was looking for a larger but not overly large glass water bottle with a silicone top. This bottle will fill the bill! It's heavy once filled, but any bottle over 20 ounces carries significant weight once filled. Not a fan of lime green with gray, but oh well. I would have preferred solid gray, black is even better!

So I bought it in March and I love it! It's a bit heavy, but it's a glass I've never used. The cap is easy to remove and snap on. The lock works well - there have rarely been problems with leaks when tipped on its side. The silicone cap inside has changed color slightly. A few months ago I washed it and found that there was a small oily stain inside so I washed it. I left it in soapy water to degrease it and it didn't come off! I really like drinking from a glass container without worrying about it breaking. The rubber film seems to protect it and doesn't come off with washing. They designed it so that the water and your mouth just touch the glass. The only thing I don't like about this bottle is the smell of the rubber foil. It seems to get better with every wash, but it's still there. As I am very sensitive to smells, others may not notice. I have to add sea salt to the water which I can't do with stainless steel…

I bought this one and I love that it's fully rubber wrapped and has more ounces than the previous Zulu glass and rubber bottle I had. I read the reviews about the button breaking and in fact after about 2 months I refilled it and wanted to close the lid but the button popped out and it won't close. So I ordered another one because it's hard to find a glass water bottle. it is encased in rubber which I need for my awkward lifestyle. Update: The company ended up responding twice and ended up sending me 4 caps. I've gone through 3 of these already, so they're poorly constructed and doomed to fail. Unfortunately my bottle broke into pieces today when I put my daughter in a car seat and placed the bottle on the roof of an SUV. Pulling off the curb I heard a crash and the bottle fell about 5 feet to my death. Fortunately, most of the glass was inside the rubber case. Added after 2 weeks. The entire cover is removed by unscrewing. However I didn't find this to be a good idea as there are some small details that cause the cap to lift and fall off when the cap is removed from the bottle. Luckily I didn't lose them and was able to put them back in the lid. Since then I have not removed the cap and only my bottle but left the cap open as long as it stays on the bottle.
