Revain users can add links to their reviews. Links can make your feedback more detailed and informative and encourage readers to learn more.
Adding links is easy. Just use the button (the one with a chain icon) on the toolbar on the review writing page.
However, you should keep a few things in mind. The Terms and Conditions apply to all content on the platform, including the links. This is why the links to problematic content will lead to your review being blocked. The accounts of repeat offenders will be blocked as well.
Problematic content includes but is not limited to graphic depictions of violence, pornography, inflammatory images, videos or audio, confidential content, malware, etc. If you are not sure if you should add a link - you probably shouldn’t add it.
Links to other reviews
If you want to refer the readers to other reviews - this is a great idea. It will help them research the subject better and provide some context.
If you want to add links to the reviews of other users - you can do it as well. Yet remember to be civil, even if you disagree with other reviewers.
Also don’t use the links as a way to promote your content, add only the relevant information.
Links to external resources
Providing links to news sources, studies and other relevant information is great. In fact, it is the best way to use links in reviews.
However, you can only add the links to respectable, trustworthy, and independent platforms. Links to unreliable sources and advertisements are not accepted.
For example, Reuters, BBC, or CNN are reliable sources. Obscure “alternative science” websites and corporate landing pages are not,
If you are not sure if a source is reliable - it most likely isn’t.
