This exchange is based in South Korea and is one of the world's largest Bitcoin and altcoin exchanges on a global scale.
Discussing Bithumb's size and transaction volume is illogical anyway. But as with every stock exchange, this stock exchange has some cons and a number of pros. The pros are as follows: large volume purchase, multiple types of trading and very low transfer rates. The downside is that it is only available to South Korean users, has been previously attacked by virtual thieves and has very little deposit possibilities.

According to the statements of the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb, the exchange has established its own research and development (R&D) center. According to the statements made, thanks to this initiative, Bithumb has become the first company in South Korea to have a blockchain and crypto money research center. On the other hand, Bithumb stated that the research center has great hopes for its impact on the company.

The research team will focus on high-performance transaction matching systems that can handle large orders simultaneously. Bithumb also plans to analyze blockchains to isolate cryptocurrency trading and to develop a system for user address generation that enables deposits and withdrawals on the exchange.

In addition to all these, the exchange aims to develop security enhancement technologies related to encryption, separation of functions, and the implementation of authentication systems that allow private keys to be securely stored and used. Bithumb's research team will also work on high availability and high performance data exchange between blockchains and databases.
