USB port is weak and dies in less than 1 month

I have bought several of these in the past. They all appear to be from the same manufacturer and are sold by different vendors. I have a version with two outlets and three USB ports on my desk. It works great. I bought it for my desktop to use with things like soldering irons, hot glue guns, and just plain test equipment. I tested all plugs and connectors prior to installation to ensure they work. Less than a month after I got this and it's been used very little since I installed it (which yes, it's bordering on a nightmare how little the bezel protrudes on the long edges but I knew let it go Time and you ' all right) and now one of the USB ports is no longer used. If something plugged into it isn't positioned correctly, it won't receive power, the slightest hit and it will lose connection. It's not interchangeable, no idea why, and the Revain is impossible to get to, so now I'm stuck with a hole in the countertop and a non-working USB port. Also, yes, for people who report making loud noises during use, this is 100% true. Do not install it near the place where you want to sleep or work for a while. Very disappointed but not surprised.
