I bought this to replace the motor on an Amish Fireplace I got for free from a local flea market website. The old engine sounded like the world's slowest coffee grinder when it was amplified for the stadium audience. As many write in their reviews, parts are not listed for repair, and companies recommend simply buying a new stove. Not on my watch! Received the engine on time. Two red cables are included. It did not fit directly onto the mount or mirror axis. I mounted it to a mounting bracket using just one of the screw holes already present and it was very secure. A spring reducer with an adjusting nut was used on the mirror shaft. I removed the ring and cut off the spring gear to leave only the large part as the small part was too small for the motor shaft. I then applied a piece of tape around the motor shaft to create a tight fit. 3 wires were used for the wiring to the chimney (brown, white and black). Brown and white were connected to the module that was only connected to the white wire. I cut out the module and connect the red motor wires to white and black only. I checked everything and it worked like clockwork. I reattached the stove and set it up again. Now it runs silently except for the sound of the heater fan and is worth every penny. Woman and boys love it. I call it self-gain. I would recommend this motor to anyone looking to fix their chimney and not afraid to make it fit.
