Review on ☕ Organic Unbleached Coffee Filters, Basket Style, 100 Count - The Ultimate Choice for Gourmet Coffee by Michaela Hughes

Filter changed due to new owner!

I've tried so many different coffee filters over the years, from the most expensive to the cheaper supermarket brands. I wasn't satisfied with any of them and kept trying others. The Beyond Gourmet filters were the only ones I liked. The paper was thinner and slightly larger than others I've used. For me this is of great importance. In my opinion, the coffee was stronger and better with a thinner filter. I was so glad I could still find this brand at Revain. Many other sources have stopped using it. I didn't understand why until I bought the last batch of these filters! Noticed a HUGE difference right away! The new box is half the size of the original version! I was wondering how they could pack 100 filters into such a small box. I opened the box and saw that the filters are very thin and thin! Even the texture was completely different! Decided to make coffee to check it out. I placed the filter in my ceramic filter over the cup and poured very hot water over the coffee in the filter. I left it for a few minutes with the ceramic filter closed. Then I opened the filter to let the coffee drip into my cup. I left the room for a minute and came back to see that nothing had changed at all. The coffee was still in the filter and hadn't expired at all! I tried lifting it up a bit to see why and found that the filter had burst at the seams, completely clogging my ceramic filter with coffee grounds! It was a nightmare! When I tried to remove some of the bases they went everywhere! The new filters are totally defective because they are too thin to handle hot water and coffee grounds. The original company was in the USA and the filters were made in the USA. Now they are made somewhere in Europe. The packaging says Made in EU. Apparently there is no more quality control. I have used and loved this brand of coffee filters for a very long time and am very sad that they have completely destroyed such a high quality product. Now it's a terrible low quality mess!
