To be honest I work in a sawmill it's a tough place for clothes and accessories and I had to sew one side with extra strong threads. But these phone cases are durable except for harsh environments, and they don't cross paths with wallets, so you don't end up with a bunch of useless bags. I use it horizontally and it's very secure. I wouldn't trust a metal belt clip, but you can use it horizontally and vertically thanks to the built-in belt loop.
