This automatic door shoe was perfect for my application. I had a client who didn't want a threshold at the entrance of his home because of the tile work that went from the outside in. I needed something that would fall down when the door was closed so dirt and grime wouldn't get in when it was closed. When opening the door, the door shoe had to be raised a good 1/4 inch to eliminate discrepancies in the tile design and avoid scratching the tile surface. It did just that and is configurable for almost any application.

Pros

When the piston hits the post, the flapper seal engages on the hinge side first, creating multiple compression points.
