These patches received bad reviews from some customers who claimed they came loose in the wash and needed to be sewn on. The patches actually work very well, but you have to know how to use them properly. First, make sure the iron is on the highest temperature (for cotton) and not steam. Let it warm up for a few minutes to make sure it's really hot enough. Pass over garment to smooth out wrinkles, allow to cool for a few seconds, then place patch over hole. Be sure to use high pressure. I'm a tall guy and I lean over the iron and slowly press and move it back and forth over the patch to clear any fabric contact issues. When the time is up, remove the iron and allow the pants to cool for five minutes before gently trying to fold the corner to make sure it's secure. They should be almost flush with the jeans and not peel at all. I have sewn about five pairs of children's jeans with it and have had excellent results.
