I've been using apple peelers for many years, but eventually something breaks or becomes less sharp and I have to buy a new one. Haven't used it in a few years and we've moved so I decided to just buy a new one as I'm pretty sure I won't be able to find another one. To be honest I chose this one because it had 1 day free shipping and I wanted it by Thanksgiving. I chose green because it was a bit cheaper than red. I mean, the color doesn't matter! Anyway, mine didn't have a little wooden handle for some reason. That in no way stopped me from using it for my giant apple pie - it peeled and sliced 6 pounds of apples with no problems at all, except it was a little fiddly and awkward to do without this handle. So I decided to contact the seller through Amazon. After explaining what was missing they got back to me straight away and sent me a new paring and coring knife! It was unexpected. It seems like you have to fight the sellers to fix the error. So I strongly recommend buying from this seller! And I really love this apple peel. Maybe I'll bake regular apple pie again!
