Amazing device. I tried a hard start capacitor for my RV AC and it either didn't help or made things worse. I tried not to spend $300 on such a device, thinking I could find a cheaper solution. but there isn't, and this device is amazing. I've had all sorts of problems starting my RV AC, my 3000w inverter cutting out on overload and over 6000w bursts trying to start. I've caught fire occasionally after resetting the inverter, but still at high inrush currents. The Yamaha 2400IS will struggle and run most of the time, but it is not guaranteed to work. The last time we drove in the van it was 95 and it was very frustrating to turn on the air conditioning. So I finally decided to give this a try despite the cost, I wanted to be able to use AC on really hot camping days rather than having to go outside of a generator or inverter to do so. I doubted it could work as advertised. but IT WORKS and better than expected. There were no current spikes when starting the compressor, it peaked with the amp running, never went above 1200 watts, I've tried a few starts and all have been impressive. I'm very happy with this unit, honestly it should be standard equipment on all van air conditioners, it's amazing technology that works as advertised.
