I bought this after buying a cheap dog training collar from China that once worked. I read and read reviews about collars and decided on it. I was skeptical. We have a one year old golden retriever who is exceptionally energetic. Although I was looking forward to him joining our family. Since he was 2 months old, my biggest regret is my decision to have him. Mind you I haven't had a dog since I was in my late teens and now I'm in my 40's with three kids so I've forgotten a lot and completely forgotten what it's like to have a puppy in the house. I already have 3 human puppies so my tolerance for a naughty dog added to the mix was low. Puppy is less than a year old. Let me just say that I was very impressed with the quality of the collar. The remote control is really cool, comes with a lanyard, has a cool matte finish, feels good in your hand and is easy to use. I'd say it's definitely worth the money I paid for it just by looking at it. It costs more than I paid for the results. I charged it and tried it on level 1. He didn't seem to care too much so I updated it to stage 2 where I actually got a consistent answer. The amazing thing about this device is that now he actually looks at me when I call his name to warn him because he knows he won't like the consequences. As if we were finally mentally connected. It's really adorable. He listens to me, stops running away, digs his mouth when it's not supposed to, stops digging up our lawn, stops playfully biting people when they enter the room, stops jumping and stops barking . . It looks like a miracle! I remember reading a review from someone before I bought it which basically said their dog had been so painful and so destructive for the past 10 years that the only way the owner could make peace with the dog was if he was over got over him. When I read this I laughed at first, and then I quickly realized it could be us! In the last 10 months with him in our home, there have definitely been more days of suffering than happiness. We've had friends who would send their dogs to some sort of "dog training camp" that cost thousands of dollars. I'm glad I didn't waste my money because this collar fixed everything. I really enjoy being around him now. I like his company. If you have a misbehaved dog, a dog that doesn't mind, a dog that does something you don't like, or that makes you embarrassed in front of guests, don't think twice. Buy this collar and you will not regret it. Start pleasing your dog again!
