Great leg and calf warmer

I've been using this foot warmer for a few months now and am generally happy with its performance. It heats up quickly, has a good range of temperature settings and plenty of timer settings. I've found that socks made of regular or slightly thinner material transfer heat best to the top. Wearing thick socks actually prevents the heat from reaching your foot (at least if you start out with cold feet). Overall, the surrounding pocket of warmth they create under and around the feet as well as just below the knees (I'm about 5ft 10in) feels cozy and warm. I'll say I had two small issues that I didn't rate the product for. Considering the price, I've learned to live with it, but your mileage may vary: The first small issue was the sagging roof To the best thermal bag to create the canopy should be strongly bent over the panels. Otherwise the heat stays pretty low. I solved this problem by creating a kind of frame out of strong cardboard strips and gluing them to the top and sides of the board. This was of great importance in heat distribution. The bag is slightly taller providing a handy pocket for the heating plates to bounce off. The second issue was the chemical odor the heating plate gave off on first use. Run with a fan to diffuse the odor until it dissipates. I know the last two seem to be the ones to avoid, but I really recommend trying this one. I used my own research and money to buy it for my cold home office and I don't regret it one bit.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
