In fact, it is not black, as it seems in the pictures, but dark gray - only the top panel is black. I chose it because of the presence of the wifi module - it's unrealistically tired of heaps of wires on the desktop even in "pre-wireless" times / especially if there are animals in the house climbing to the wires and wanting to gnaw everything and pull. I used the Brother printer for 8 years, but the wired model - I just refilled the cartridge and had no problems, later gave it to my friends as unnecessary - I changed jobs and there was no need for a printer. I think he still works for them. There was a need - I decided to choose the same manufacturer again, especially since, on my advice, several more people took the same model as mine and no one complained about their quality. I use this printer infrequently, so I don’t know what quality this equipment is now, how long the toner will last and how to refill it, I know that original consumables are expensive, but there are no chips and it is possible to reset the counter. The paper is stored inside and does not gather dust, there are a bunch of print quality settings and a quiet mode - a little slow, but much quieter than normal. I don't use duplex printing. I set up the wireless connection quickly, everything functions without problems. In my opinion, the disadvantage is only in the dimensions of the device, I think that it was possible to make the device more compact. The screen is single-line, they could have done more decently, but this is not necessary - once set up and forgotten. There is an auto-off function, but it does NOT work with wireless use. The instructions do not describe anything in detail - what kind of modes, what settings can and should be changed - but all this is on the manufacturer's website. The print speed is quite normal. For home use or a micro-mini-office with a light load, it is quite a suitable purchase. I can recommend to buy. By the way, THREE-year warranty from the manufacturer (when registering on the site and using original consumables).
