Ignition Coil MSD 8227 Blaster TFI

The manufacturers of the MSD 8227 Blaster TFI ignition coil have obviously started to make them cheaper and from inferior materials. In the photo, this coil is older (black and red), they are better finished. I have two of these and they still work perfectly. Despite the picture, the new MSD Blaster Coils are bright orange, lighter and cheaper. I know I ordered one of the new orange MSD coils and after about three months it overheated and failed. Left me in the middle of the road Luckily I had an old spare spool with me and was able to replace the junk immediately and we were up and running again. Beware! Update I've attached a picture of the spool you received, as you can see it's not the same as pictured when you ordered. The orange twins pictured are dead and useless in less than a year. Please do not buy this reel. This is a waste of your money and you will be left alone as you both did to me. Like I said, they're cheap, lightweight, and almost useless. If you find a black and red spool on the order page, I have to give MSD credit that it's a much better spool. I still have two of these and they still work well.
